In Memoriam: Dennis Franklin Brugman

Dennis Franklin Brugman, born on January 15, 1948, in Sacramento, CA, passed away on January 3, 2024, in Chico, CA. He was a loving father, cherished grandfather, and a dear friend to many.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Tammera Shinar, and son-in-law James P. Shinar II. Unfortunately, he was predeceased by his son, Dennis F. Brugman II. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Dennis was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren, each holding a special place in his heart: Kyia Sunderland of Albuquerque, NM, James P. Shinar III of Chico, CA, Nicolas Brugman of Anderson, CA, Kaylee Brugman of Klamath Falls, and River Brugman of Doris, CA.

Known affectionately as "Pops" by many, Dennis was more than a father and grandfather – he was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support for his family and friends. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dennis will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for life, and the countless memories he created with those around him. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the impact he made on those he touched.

A celebration of life to honor and remember Dennis will be held on January 12 at 11:00 am @ the Elks Lodge in Redding, CA.

May he rest in peace, and may his memory continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
