Obituary of Deni Jo Vinsonhaler

Deni Jo passed away March 15th, 2024. Survived by her loving family, including her husband of 42 years, Cliff Vinsonhaler. Deni Jo will be sorely missed.

Deni was a pillar of the Chico community. Owning and operating Storybook Schoolhouse, a local childcare center, for over 50 years. Deni touched the lives of the many generations of children that came through her doors. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Deni can attest to her work ethic and determination. A woman that never gave up and believed in putting children before all else. Many lives, old and young, received the gift of Deni’s powerful presence and guidance.

Deni was an artist, a lover of music and was spiritually connected to the world around her. She was a natural teacher, and she had a wonderful, enlightened sense of humor. To her family, Deni Jo was known as Nana.

We feel the loss of Deni deeply. We miss her more with each passing moment. In her honor we will always do our best, we will go for the things we want in life, and we will cherish the time we spend together. 

We love you, Nana. Thank you for the many years of love you gave us.
